Rob Colclaser is a commercial, portrait, event and fine art photographer living in Central Massachusetts and working in the New England area. Having spent 27 years in the computer design and networking industries, he is well prepared for the technical and computer issues related to digital photography. Rob’s commercial work focuses on photographs requiring a high level of precision and lighting. His recent fine art work investigates abstract and soft image techniques.
Rob is a 2008 graduate of the Digital Photography Certificate Continuing Education program at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD|CE). He has attended weeklong workshops at the Alison Shaw Workshop, focusing on fine art photography, and the Maine Photographic Workshops studying wedding photography. He studied black and white film photography and darkroom printing at the Worcester Art Museum. He has taught in the RISD|CE program on Fine Art Printing, Location Lighting and digital photography workflow.
He has exhibited in the New England area in both solo and group shows and his work is exhibited in several private collections.
